Are You Choosing the Wall Treatment for Your New Pediatric Clinic?

Is your dream of having your own pediatric practice finally coming true? If so, you are probably working on the decor for your new pediatric clinic. Are you looking for ideas on what kind of wall treatment to select? If so, read on for ideas that might be very helpful.

Before you arrange to meet with a representative from a commercial interior painting service, think of going through home decorating magazines to get ideas for wall treatments. After all, those magazines will more than likely feature children's rooms that have wall treatments you'd like to have in your own clinic. Keep a portfolio of pictures you want to show the agent from the commercial interior painting service.

The Waiting Room Wall Treatment - Consider that your waiting room is the first thing that parents and their children will see when they come into the clinic. Ideas from the home decorating magazines might inspire the following wall design for the waiting room.

  • If you want a bit of a dramatic look in the waiting area, consider copying a children's room in one of the magazines that has a zoo animal or a jungle animal mural for the main wall.
  • Did you see a child's room that has special paint on a wall where kids can write and draw with chalk? That would easily fit into a pediatric waiting area. Besides being an attractive way to decorate one of the walls, it will give the kids something to do until it's their turn to see you.
  • Maybe you liked the photograph of a wall that is painted blue with puffs of white to resemble clouds in the sky. Add a painted stencil of a hot air balloon or of kites to make the sky wall even more fun.

The Individual Examination Rooms - When you talk to an agent from the commercial interior painting service, express that you want a different theme for each of the examination rooms.

  • For instance, one of the examination rooms might have a beach theme. If so, think of having the walls painted with the colors one would find at a beach. A sailboat wallpaper border would be great for a beach-themed room.
  • Another examination room might have a circus theme. In that case, the painters might paint the room with bold stripes and add a circus wallpaper border to emphasize the circus theme.
  • A western theme might be a lot of fun for one of the examination rooms. Think of having the walls faux painted to look like denim or like worn leather.  A wallpaper border that has horses and cowboys as the focal point would be perfect.

The agent from the painting service facility will know the right kind of interior paint to use. It will more than likely be a durable one that is easy to clean.
